More like NY-free 2600, amirite?

Posted at 3:33 AM on 10-1-09 by Rob T Firefly

picNow that it’s Autumn, I’ve finally gotten around to my Spring cleaning here at RTF HQ. I’ve gathered a sizable stack of books, discs, comics, tech, and other things I no longer need, which at tomorrow’s meeting I shall give away absolutely free to anyone interested. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve done this at NYC2600, but it’s always been lots of fun and most of the stuff has found happy new hacker homes.

It’s like trashing, without the stench!

You’re invited to dig freely, and if you happen to have any old books, discs, or whatever you no longer need which you’d like to give away, please feel free to donate them to the pile!

Alpha One Labs

If you were at least week’s meeting, you might have been given a charming orange card alerting you to the existence of Alpha One Labs, New York City’s newest up-and-running hackerspace.

Psytek and the rest of the crew behind Alpha One Labs have gotten things going in practically no time. They’ve already got a physical space in Williamsburg, open meetings, open membership, and the first of their public classes will be happening soon. You can also follow Alpha One Labs on Twitter.
