Evan Koblentz writes in with a pointer to an event that looks like a lot of fun.
Hi, fellow hackers. Wanted to inform you guys of the VCF East this weekend, here in NJ. Our show was mentioned on “Off the Hook” recently so you might already know about it. This year’s keynote speaker is Chuck Peddle, of MOS 6502 fame. We’ll also have around 20 exhibits - the list is here: http://www.vintage.org/2007/east/exhibit.php.
Our venue is about an hour from Manhattan. You guys will have a LOT of fun, we promise! Our user group ran a small demo at HOPE 2006; this event dwarfs that.

I really wish I could attend, but I’m otherwise occupied this weekend. Someone please go and affectionately stroke a Commodore PET for me!

Urchin, a independent horror movie with cameos by our own Emmanuel Goldstein and Mark “Phiber Optik” Abene, will premiere at 10 PM Saturday, February 17. The premiere is at the Red Room Theater, 85 East 4th Street (between 2nd Avenue and the Bowery,) above the KGB bar.
For more information on the premiere and to buy tickets, check out 2600’s post on the event.
For more information on the film itself, visit its official site and its IMDb page.
Once you have all that information, consider adding it to the film’s stub of a Wikipedia page.
